Our Partners & Supporters

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”

Down Syndrome Cork has always received tremendous backing from the businesses of Cork and our latest project, the Field of Dreams, is proving to be no exception. The ongoing support of local businesses and individuals, organisations, local and national government agencies has enabled us to develop a three acre green site into a place of learning for adults with Down syndrome in less than seven months.

We are deeply indebted to our partners and supporters who have helped our dream become a reality. Help comes to us in a variety of forms including multi-annual funding, project or event sponsorship, products or services in kind and donations. In turn, we like to welcome our supporters to enjoy the holistic, beautiful space that is the Field of Dreams and have worked with numerous companies to deliver a CSR event, tailored to meet their own requirements.

Your belief in us, helped us to believe in ourselves and that belief now means that 8 adults with Down syndrome are already enjoying opportunities to improve their life and work skills. As the saying goes, lots done, but lots more to do.

If you, or your company would like to offer your services/support and join the following businesses, organisations and individuals please get in touch by emailing our business development manager, Sharon Mulcahy, sharon.mulcahy@fieldofdreamscork.ie or ring us at 021-4878328.

Field of Dreams is fortunate to have partnered  with Munster Agricultural Society who offered an initial 3 acres with the possibility of another 2 acres in the future. This site is adjacent to the N40 in Curraheen, Cork.

“The principals of our society are based on agricultural, industrial and educational development so we see this as a good social partnership to develop the facility.”

Gerard Murphy, Chairman, Munster Agricultural Society

ESB Energy for Generations Fund

August 2016 – Marks & Spencer came on board to support the work of their long standing employees and our Chairperson, Ray O’Callaghan with a 3 year corporate sponsorship package announced in August 2016. Alison Grainger, M&S Head of Ireland explains

“We encourage all our stores to support their local community and our colleagues do a brilliant job of getting involved and making a real difference, but Ray has really raised the bar with his work for Down Syndrome Cork. Ray is passionate about everything he undertakes on behalf of the charity and has been the main driver in bringing the Field of Dreams project to life.  He has also been a real inspiration to his team in the Cork store, with many of them planning to volunteer with the project, and we are really pleased to support a charity our colleagues are so excited to be involved with.”
